my 2000 ford focus speedometer do not work,change speed sensor,and instrument cluster,transmission will not change until gear with exclamation mark symbol comes on,digital info. goes away.

automatic transmission will not shift from first gear,untill symbol of wheel with exclamation comes on ,then transmission will shift regularlly,but digital info ,that shows milage goes off.
