Engine sounds like it’s in a low gear and sounds rough while driving

Hello, "in low gear" would seem to mean that the engine would rev high without the vehicle moving much faster. But you're saying the RPM is normal? As a result, I'm not terribly clear on what you mean. Perhaps you could share more details as to what's happening? As a note, "sounds rough while driving" could be engine performance related.
