My car would not start, had to have 3 jumps to get it to a repair shop. Got a new battery, tested the car and it was draining the battery. Could this be something other than the alternator?

they did not test the alternator just tested the battery

Suspect the alternator is failing or has failed! .. Kinda supprised there is no indication of that showing on the dash instruments/display .. Suggest having nearest REAL repair shop test the alternator output .. Problem is - 'IF' the alternator is not charging the battery, the engine IS going to stall again as soon as battery becomes discharged. That won't take long with all the electrical load on the battery so it needs to be checked out ASAP! Good luck with it.

Alternator is not putting out the voltage needed to charge the battery. Replacement of alternator is what is most likely needed.
