Why I've lost all steering wheel electronics and gained an airbag light?

I struck a curb,just right at less than 5 mph, destroying two tie rods and sheeting my steering shaft!! Yeah, no kidding!! At first I tried to back into my lane, it was all ice. My steering wheel would spin on its own the direction I began to turn it. But it would stop like it was catching. Then it suddenly seemed to break free and spun wit hout catch. After about $1,100 to repair, it worked well. Now however none of my steering wheel electronics work and my air bag light is an eternal lamp! I've got no cruise, radio, and no computer & diagnostic control. I'm concerned my airbag may malfunction.
