We purchased the vehicle new about 6 months ago. We do not want the ford trailer camera system because it can only be used for backing ... (I'm looking for a camera to be used while going down the road.)
I would however like to take advantage of the integrated TPMS system. The local Ford Dealer seems to think the need to add a harness from the trailer to the truck. I believed that the only requirement were the tire pressure sensors. Could you clarify what equipment is needed to accomplish this? My confidence in the dealer is limited due to other situations.

I can’t advise concerning a rear facing camera that can be viewed while driving the vehicle - that has the potential of being dangerously distracting IMO..
