What is the steel bar behind the radiator lower valance?

There is a steel bar under the radiator. It's approx. 4 ft. long, it resembles a crossmember. It's behind the lower bumper valance. It doesn't attach to the radiator or the bumper. It's attached to the frame by 3 bolts on both sides. It looks like it's designed for extra protection for the radiator. The one on my truck is rusted out and I need to get a new one. Does anyone happen to know what the name of this 'crossmember' is???? Thanks Phil
