Hi, as far as I knew, OBD-II started in 1996. 51 seems like an air bag code - not an engine performance code. Also, OBD-I codes are 3 digits. Beyond that, hands on testing is needed, and trouble codes of OBD-I if this is equipped were not particularly developed and specific. Might provide clues, but circuit testing is what ends up being needed in various systems to see what's going on. As far as stalling and bucking, look for an air intake restriction or exhaust restriction. Check the PCV system. Check for a mass air flow leak. Check base fuel pressure (for each tank, if equipped with dual tanks) to see if there is enough constant pressure. Hands on testing will help you get to the bottom of it. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
