I have a 1989 f250 4x4 with a 7.3 diesel, the under side of truck looks like it was dip in salt water, fuel gages and alternator work but are not accrued, also tack works some times. is there a common ground that may be causing the problem? truck has new batteries and altanator

Dash removal is complex and far more difficult than I could get into here! Basically, it's unbolting and unscrewing various areas, removing trim, finish panels, etc. You may be able to see the ground from under the dash. You may not need to remove it to get to it.
