It smells burnt when I open hood.the belt and alternator is hot to the touch.

Bearings most likely going out on the alternator pulley. Pull your belt off and try to spin your alternator pulley and check for tension or binding. Using the Estimator link at the top of page will be a big help.

You May want to check the idder pulley, its getting stuck or may already stop spinning, it is located underneath the alternator.
