What is your question?
When trying to shift out of park, many times it won't let me. If I wait and/or press the brake a few times it will go in smoothly. Feels like the shifter is in lock position. Problem is getting to happen more often.

Stoplight switch OR wire connector 'at' the switch is a good place to start diagnosis!... IF you can get it to act up.... have someone check to see if 'brake lights' are working at the time!!!... Can use a stick or the like to depress brake and look for yourself!.. Got to do some testing! No use guessing!!
I was under the dash looking for the brake shift interlock switch that looked like the ones on the auto parts sites. I fiddled with the wires looking for it, no luck. I went out after reading your post and couldn't get it to act up. What I did notice when it was acting up, was if I turned the key on but not far enough to start, I could shift easily. I put it into N and started it. Should this action tell me something?
Not really, that just bypasses the interlock!... It good that you know how to do that!!!... Most people do not and it's hard to get them to understand how to do this simple task... At least it seems to be!... Just keep checking, it will eventually act up again!.. IF it's not in the switch or the connector...it's in the column!
Ok. Thanks. If I can get it to act up again, I will test the brake light option that you mentioned.
Sure, .... I added a bit to the last post. Good luck!!
