It startedthree days ago twice and 4 times today. Dealer could find anything wrong. 3.5 eco boost with 60,000 miles 2018. F 150 I have never had this happen before or with any other Ford I have owned temp gauge stays in middle. When temp displays 230 to 232 it goes away within a few moments when it reads 226
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, i'm not certain that 230 degrees is too hot. The workshop manual says that the engine thermostat only reaches completely open position at 217.6 degrees. If you momentarily exceed 218 degrees for a short period of time -- I personally wouldn't be too concerned. If it gets higher than that, or does not seem to cool properly, i'd continue to press the issue for further diagnostics. That engine has a "fail safe" mode to prevent damage from overheating which will shut down cylinders and engine performance to protect the engine.
