What is your question?
I replaced the battery in my truck and when I started it back up the what I thought was the blend door actuator started clicking continually, for which before the battery change it would do it a few times then stop. So I replaced the blend door actuator and once finished the noise was still happening, upon further troubleshooting I realized it was the mode door actuator that was making the noise, and just disconnected it until I got a new one. In the meantime I replace the backup bulbs with brighter led units, when I whent on the road I noticed that the cruise control no longer worked, no light on dash, for which I have never had an issue with. Of the 2 things that I changed and unplugging the mode selector, could they cause the cruise control to not operate?
What makes this problem better or worse?
There is no change, 100% doesn’t work
How long has your 2012 Ford F-150 had this problem?

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. The concern is related to the bulbs. You don't need "brighter LED units". The vehicle was not built for it - and therefore the electrical system -- of which the brake light switch is a part of - cannot handle it properly. The brake light switch is a required component to be properly functional for cruise control operation. Restore your lights back to factory condition and you'll be back to normal.
