My truck has been running ruff for the last 10 days. It started with an idle like shake around 55 mph and when it was going up hills. It then started to run more ruffly during multiple speeds, now it is running real bad at idle (no movement) and wont barley start. we change the gas filter on very low fuel then started it up and ran it to make sure it wasn't leaking turned it off, tried to start it again ten minutes later and it turned over twice then locked up. we walked down to the gas station got 3.5 gallons of gas put it in and tried to start it again and now its locked up and doesn't want to turn over with no clicking noise. Does this sound like a fuel pump and does anyone now how to get he gas into the motor without replacing the pump?

the engine not starting because the fuel pump might be bad makes sense, what doesnt make sense is how the fuel pump would make the vehicle shake going up hills and create a rough ride. all of this might be a result of a bad catalytic converter, thats what could be making the vehicle shake and drive rough, and that can cause the vehicle to idle roughly and not start.
