Oil pressure just dropped one day and started making it Knocking noise it was running fine until that point and I don't know if it's the oil pressure sensor or switch or where it's located
How long has your 2003 Ford F-150 had this problem?

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. The oil pressure switch threads into the engine block to measure oil pressure. If you have a knocking noise - and low oil pressure reading - it would be likely that the reading is accurate and the oil pressure is not sufficient. Ensure you have the proper oil grade and level in the vehicle and a quality oil filter- go Motorcraft if there is any doubt.
