Do I have an oil pressure sensor or oil pressure switch and where is it located?

If you have a knocking noise - and low oil pressure reading - it would be likely that the reading is accurate and the oil pressure is not sufficient. Ensure you have the proper oil grade and level in the vehicle and a quality oil filter- go Motorcraft if there is any doubt.
