What is your question?
A week ago I replaced my overhead console. I was told by my Ford dealer that Ford no longer sells the Overhead Console for my truck, so I bought one from eBay. The unit that I bought displays both temp and compass. The unit that I replaced only displayed compass direction. Since the replacement displays temperature, I would like the display to be correct. My overhead console now displays -40F because it has no temperature sensor data My Ford dealer told me that my installed Outside ambient air temperature sensor was connected to my EATC Air Conditioner Climate Control. If it is possible, I would like to ask my Ford dealer to install a second outside temperature sensor for my overhead console, Please let me know the outside temperature sensor that was designed to use with my Overhead Console. Please let me know how it can be connected to the wire bundle going to my overhead console. With this information, I will ask my Ford dealer to do the installation. Thanks, Jim
How long has your 2002 Ford F-150 had this problem?

For this information, you'd really need to know all the specifications of the vehicle the eBay sourced console came from. Then you could research the wiring diagram related to that vehicle and find out how to get the temperature information to it. I'm sure something is possible but it's not necessarily easy to "retrofit" something that is not meant for your vehicle necessarily.
