Ticks when accelerating. Compression test at dealer shows I need a new engine??

Sounds to me like you blew out your spark plug and you need to have it helecoiled and a new spark plug installed. Really don't think you need a motor at 110K, we can take care of that for you but would have to look at the vehicle to confirm the problem. Environmental automotive 410 987 5546
