Hello, I would find it highly unlikely that this engine would have an internal engine coolant leak caused by a head gasket failure. You may have an oil leak from a head gasket, externally. But internal leaks? Highly unlikely. Who is saying and what is your symptom and what testing has been performed? To answer also - no, I would not tear down a 275,000 mile engine with intent to replace the head gasket. Too much internal wear which would risk concerns reassembling.
