small leak drip maybe

it is coming from the back of the transmission, is there anywhere between the engine and transmission that would cause it to leak?

You have a shaft seal between the engine and trans that seals the input shaft and torque converter. You have another seal from the trans to the driveshaft that usually leaks. Extension housing seal.
