What is your question?
Looking to replace my shocks on my truck that I use for heavy loads of approx. 1200-1400lb in the bed every week. Do I need to replace the springs also? And what brand / model of shocks / springs (if needed) would you recommend? The truck is all stock and is not lifted or modified at all. It is the 4 door crew cab with a 8ft bed.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Old original parts
How long has your 2000 Ford F-150 had this problem?
couple of years

Hello, shock absorbers keep tires in contact with the road. Why not try the original Motorcraft shock absorbers? Seem to have lasted 20 years -- and the truck payload and shocks are built to sustain that load. As far as the springs -- these maintain ride height. With the bed of the truck empty, measure your ride height. The specifications are published in workshop manuals, and the location where you measure is listed there as well. Can't really post that here -- but a ride height check is needed to determine if springs need to be replaced. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
