What is your question?
I have a 2000-F150 extended cab, 6 cyl- 5 speed that was recently in for brakes. ($840.00 Canadian estimated, all 4 wheels Disk front, drum back). The dealer has informed me I need a whole new front end, bushings, tie roads, ball joints (upper and lower). Sounds like the truck was in a wreck... at 94,000 km it has never wandered off the road. No tire wear on front tires (6 ply winter so soft). Does this sound like a normal, Ford Tough repair? I checked your site and there were no front end problems identified by others. The cost I am being provided is around $1900.00. The same dealer gave me a trade in price of $2000 on a used 2007 F150 ($24000.00). The truck is only summer driven over the past 4 years, has 94,000 km and is one of the best rides I have experienced with my two young children (Single dad). A 25.7 miles per gallon pulling a 10 ft Jayco series tent trailer, I will find the money to fix my ride... just wondering if this price and unexpected repairs normal on Fords? The Canadian dollar exchange is about $96.00 Canadian to $1.00 US. Thanks everyone.
