Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! We want to be like the king and TCB, take care of business! If you suspect that the exhaust valve is off the rocker you may be able to address the issue without pulling the head by removing the valve cover and inspecting the rocker arm and valve train components. If the exhaust valve is off the rocker, you may be able to reseat it without removing the head by carefully adjusting the rocker arm and ensuring proper alignment. However, if the issue is more severe or if there's damage to the valve or valve seat, you may need to remove the head for further inspection and to avoid catastrophic damage down the road.
