What is your question?
Truck does not move when in gear. It started yesterday. I had an empty trailer, it started to rain. As I was going up a small hill it just stopped moving. So I put in 4 wheel high. And it just reves up. I did have reverse. But nothing else
How long has your 1998 Ford F-150 had this problem?

Hello, it's disappointing, but it does sound like something internal to the transmission has failed, causing a lack of forward engagement. When you manually shift to "1" or "2" does it move forward at all? There's a slight chance of a concern with the transmission range sensor, but I doubt it is causing any concerns here.
