What is your question?
I have a 1998 Ford F150 truck, 4.6L V8 engine. Check engine light came on several months ago. It had loss of power amd burning fuel. At times upon start up it had white smoke coming out exhaust. It coded for 2 misfires and O2 sensor upstream. I replaced all spark plugs and o2 sensor. A friend did the labor. The truck did run a bit better, but not 100%. I didnt know how to reset the light. My friend said it should turn itself off after driving about 50 miles. A week later the check engine light is still on. It started flashing and the truck has more loss of power, now with a rough idle and vibrating. It coded 3 different misfire numbers this time and o2 sensor Bank 1 sensor 1(slow response)still. Could it be catalytic converter or something more? Is there anything I can get to clean it myself? If catalytic converter, would that cause spark plugs to code, and would they need to be replaced again? Or could it be the spark plug wires causing it to code? It starts easily, no smoke i saw.
How long has your 1998 Ford F-150 had this problem?
8 months or so
