Noise when letting off the brakes

Hello, were brake rotors replaced or resurfaced when the work was performed? Brake Noise comes from resonation of brakes moving ever so slightly in their anchored location. So I think of: proper installation? Correct positioning with proper hardware - shims and clips? Rotor condition - resurfaced and no hot spots?
