Hi I have a falcon hot rod that I just put in an AOD rebuilt transmission with a kick down 4th gear, I dropped it off at a transmission shop to have the pressure adjusted. It shifts fine but there is no fluid running thru the lines to the cooler. Why? No one seems to know, one transmission shop says it will have to come out and taken apart. Can I run a different pressure line where you check the pressure thru the cooler?
How long has your 1990 Ford F-150 had this problem?
Hello, can't really comment on modified vehicles and things that really don't belong, as well as about a transmission that I cannot know anything about regarding the source of -- how it's built, whether it was set to have a cooler or not (they don't all have coolers attached on the various models they fit into).
You will need to have an intelligent local transmission technician try some things, quite honestly -- no one will have the answer without a little investigation hands on.
