During my research into buying a new car, I saw the word "Zetec" thrown around. I'm not sure what it means or if it is something I should be considering.

Ford's Zetec branding began on a series of four-cylinder engines that began production in the early 1990s. Today, Zetec refers only to a level of trim on certain Ford cars in Europe — the Zetec line typically has a more sporty design than the base-level trims.
It's just the name of the Ford line of 4 cylinder engines. It was Zeta before until Ford was sued for using that name as it was trademarked already. Alex
Okay! Zetec seems interesting, but it's good to know that I can rule out Zetec from the things I need to consider when making a purchase as big as a car!
