What is your question?
I'm in the market for a new car and I'm considering smaller models in addition to larger cars like the Ford Explorer. A third row would be useful in case my family gets bigger at some point down the road.

The 2018 Ford Explorer comes standard with seven seats over three rows of seating. There is also an option to go with six seats at every trim level, turning the second row of seats into captain's chairs instead of a bench. Explorers made before 2002 came only with two rows of seating, limiting them to five seats.
You can get a new style Explorer to fit 7 people with the 3rd-row seating. If you get 2nd row captains chairs you can only fit 6 but it's a lot easier to get to the 3rd row. I suggest you go test drive and check out the rear cargo room. With the 3rd row in use there ins't a ton of room for cargo back there. Alex
Cargo room is a great thing to consider. Thank you for bringing this up and thank you for your answer!
A Ford Explorer with six or seven seats seems ideal to me! Both are perfect for a potentially expanding family! Thank you!
