What will cause an axel to fall

What is your question?

Recently while I was at a red light I made a right turn and heard a clunk got off to see my right axel on ground. ?? On the ground I found what I think ia some kind of bearing. I never heard any noise to indicate something was wrong Explorer at dealership now
