Hello, first check any and all related fuses for the audio unit. A blown fuse will result in an inoperative condition. Fuse F27 in the battery junction box (under the hood) would be a place to check. Fuses F5, F9, F29, in the Body Control Module (BCM). If no luck here, you'll need a Ford high end diagnostic tool such as their IDS to perform needed diagnostic testing. The check engine light may be related to this concern, but unlikely.
