What is your question?
It doesn't happen ever time but when it does it starts off by showing a orange wrench symbol and losing power. After that the battery symbols shows and theres when the car turns off. I'll let it sit for 2-5 minutes and it starts back up.
What makes this problem better or worse?
After running the car for a while or just running it over 60 right a way.
How long has your 2007 Ford Explorer had this problem?

Hello, interesting that the vehicle starts back up. I'm guessing the battery symbol appears when the vehicle actually stalls. In this case, it's not showing a problem - it's saying the charging system is no longer working because the engine is not running anymore. That makes sense. The orange wrench losing power - typically means a transmission or electronic throttle body related concern. This would not explain the stall, though, unless the transmission was not downshifting when needed and eventually caused the engine to stall. Hands on testing is needed - the good news is that there will be diagnostic trouble codes stored in the engine's processor that will help the diagnostic process of finding out what is going on and how to resolve it. I would recommend not driving until you get the concern resolved, because stalling while driving is no good! https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
