Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! It's hard to be an Explorer when your Ford won't move! Forgive my terrible dad joke and let's get down to it! It sounds like your transmission is possibly slipping gears. First, check the transmission fluid level and condition, ensuring it's at the proper level and not burnt or discolored. If the fluid is low or in poor condition, a transmission fluid change might help. However, if the issue persists, it could indicate internal transmission problems such as worn clutches or solenoids. Getting a pro that's familiar with transmissions is probably a good idea If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554!
