What you are describing is a classic example of a temperature blend door actuator that is not effectively turning the doors in the heater Plenum from cold to hot air mode. The trick is - to learn if it's a blend door actuator concern or a fractured plastic plenum door concern. I've seen both with this vehicle. Hands on inspection is needed. Some dash disassembly may be necessary to get a visual inspection that is needed. Also, do you have "dual zone" climate control, where you can set separate temperatures for the driver's side versus the passenger side? If so, you may want to manually move each temperature selection on its own; you may find that only one temperature blend door motor is faulty.
