What is your question?
I drove my Explorer the night before this happened and it was running fine. That night got really cold in low 20's parked. Next morning no start just clicking rapidly with instruments panel needles moving together. Battery wouldn't jump start but tested good 12.4v. Battery only had 41% charge so charged it to over 75%. Also replaced new starter. Now, no clicking but just trying to crank but no start still.? It is a high performance vehicle. I have been keeping up with repairs for each issue for 10 yrs. It has ran great, even better with 231k & new catalytic converters, coils, synthetic blend oil, new starter, solenoid, good battery and alternator. I had to have new replaced Compressor 4 months ago due to engine dying while driving in McDonald's drive thru and no start. The a/c wasn't working anyway. However after that cold a/c worked, Compressor kicking on or off by my control panel and drove great for 4 months. Now it will only start with Serpentine belt removed. Belt on wontTurnengine
What makes this problem better or worse?
Won't turn over with good Serpentine belt. Starts normal with belt removed but can't drive. Transmission gears fine.
How long has your 2004 Ford Explorer had this problem?
4 months ago. Fixed. Now again 2 weeks
