I have a Ford Explorer 4 x 4 and it won't start, turn over or nothing.

I read the owners guide and I know what I did wrong. I put the wrong key in the ignition and it killed everything. According to the book I have to take it to the dealer to have it reprogrammed. Is there something I can do to fix it myself instead of a costly dealer?
