You can put the transmission in first gear. Second year, third year, job spine. But if you put it in drive or reverse, it acts like it aint fully engaging.

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! The symptoms you're describing could indicate a problem with the transmission fluid level or quality, a faulty transmission solenoid, or internal transmission damage. Check the transmission fluid level and condition first. If the fluid is low or burnt, it could cause issues with engagement. If the fluid is okay, have a mechanic perform a diagnostic scan to check for any error codes related to the transmission. They can then inspect the transmission solenoids, valve body, and internal components for any signs of damage or malfunction. Prompt diagnosis and repair are essential to prevent further damage to the transmission. If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554!
