When I lock my vehicle, manually or with the FOB, My car alarm will go off.
How long has your 2002 Ford Explorer had this problem?

Hello, unfortunately, there are many electrical components on the vehicle that may be causing the alarm to sound as soon as it is locked. Scanning the vehicle may assist in locating the erroneous component, but further diagnostics may be required. If the alarm does not sound when you lock it with the key instead of the key FOB, the panic button on the key FOB may be activating the alarm even though you are not pressing it, or you could have issues with the wireless control module (RAP module on your vehicle). My best advice is to bring it to a professional. It is likely the only way to solve this issue.
