door latch is up cant shut door how do i fix?

More than likely the door latch has broken. The door handles are now made of plastic and over time this plastic will break. You can replace your door handle your self it is not difficult but is a bit fiddly. Go to youtube and search on replacing the door handle and there will be a good video stepping you through the relatively cheap do it your self replacement.
