Replacement Key
What is your question?
I lost my spare key and need a replacement. I had one made at Home Depot, but I don't think it is the correct type. Do I have to go through a dealer to have a replacement made?

if it has a security chip, yes. most of them have one. it is not that bad. go to the parts department and have them make it for you then service will program it. Roy
Just a quick note - it says you lost your spare key. Does this mean you have two working keys? If so, you can program the spare on your own. There is a procedure for that. If you respond to this that you have two keys PLUS your new spare, I will post it.
I only have one working key. When I bought the car I received 2 working keys, 1 to use all the time and 1 spare. I lost the spare, so I don't think your procedure would work for me. Thanks, though!
