ABS engages when turning left at slow speeds while braking. The brake light does not come on when this happens.been occuring for about 6 months but is becoming more frequent. How do I fix this?

Usually this happens when the speed recorded at the ABS module is not accurate on one of the wheels. So, the ABS module thinks that the one wheel is in effect locked up (at 0 mph) while the other is at normal speed (let's say...30 mph). The principles of ABS operations says that the system will pump the brake on the wheel that it thinks is locked...which gives you that buzzing and pedal kick back. One sensor reading erratically - could be a faulty sensor, a faulty sensor indicator (the ring with teeth on it - could have damaged teeth...or could be loose on the axle/hub causing uneven distance between the sensor and indicator), or a wire connector/harness issue. If it only happens on turns, perhaps a harness to the wheel sensor is becoming open electrically on the turns only. If you can monitor wheel speed with a diagnostic tool, this is the best method of diagnosis. Sometimes you can just physically see the issue when looking at the sensors and indicator rings. Good luck!
