Fuel Tank Filler Neck Pipe Hose

Hello, As the fuel tank from a 1996 to a 1997 model is a different part number, I would have a hard time saying that you could use the newer part for the older model. Even though the style of a 1996 and 1997 Explorer appears to be the same, there are often model changes below the surface that may reflect emissions of performance improvements. You could certainly try - but I would say odds on it won't be a simple replacement. What is wrong with your current filler neck pipe hose?
