My explorer stalls out at higher elavations

What is your question?

My explorer has 2000,000 miles. It runs fine here at 4000 ft. elevation. When I go to a higher elevation the engine stalls. After a ritual of trying different things which includes opening the gas cap, and letting it sit awhile it will start up and go for about 20 miles and then stalls again.
