What is your question?
When I try to start my Explorer, the engine just turns over slowly with sluggish, sick sound and does not start. The battery is good and I am getting spark. Any ideas what is going on?

From what you have described, it sounds like you may have a starter system concern. Slow cranking maybe the starter itself or high resistance in the battery cables. This model did have issues with corrosion forming under the battery cable insulation, causing high voltage drop across the cable. Since you said the battery is good, you need to have the voltage drop across the cables tested. If the cables drop less than .5 volts then they are ok. If you are not experienced in this type of testing, you need to find a technician that is. Not doing this test may cause you to change parts that are not bad. If the cables test good then I would expect the starter to be bad, (since the battery is known to be good). I know you said the battery is good, but make sure you have it tested anyway, there are certain situations when a battery may pass tests when they are still no good. There are load tests, reluctance tests and resistance to charging, if it fails any of these tests, it can cause your symptoms. I'm sure once you get the motor to crank over at the correct speed that it will start. Good luck.
