From what I have read, from the MaxCare of "what's not covered"... This is what's stated:
"Breakdown, including overheating, caused by abuse or misuse."
We took our Expedition in proactively without it overheating. We noticed a small leak under the coolant tank. The dealership says they called and this work isn't covered, although there's NOTHING (in our opinion of course) that should have made this look like abuse or misuse. They ALSO tried to tack on a bunch of OTHER work and charges that we did not ask for, so after getting them to only focus on what we brought it in for, they DID NOT call MaxCare again, saying nothing they said would affect the outcome. We already don't trust them and I'm afraid they are trying to screw us over. Just looking for input.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Just a few leaks, it DID NOT overheat on us at all
