What is your question?
Steering wheel no control when I hit a pothole or slight bump in road some grinding noise every once in awhile no leaks vibration around 50 seems to smooth out around 70 but on interstate hit the little bridges where there a break in pavement you temporarily lose control for a second there is some play in steering wheel it hasn’t never been wrecked it’s 4x4 limited expedition it feels like the tires just don’t grip the road at all and it’s terrible in the winter I had a 07 one it was great. I have no leaks of any kind nor do I lose fluid service check regularly but no matter what shop I go to they say front end brakes and so forth are good

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. So sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Expedition. The issue you're describing sounds like a potential problem with the suspension or steering components, such as the tie rods, ball joints, or steering linkage. The sensation of losing control when hitting bumps could be due to worn suspension bushings or shocks, causing excessive play or instability. Even though shops have said the front end looks fine, sometimes these issues can be tricky to diagnose without a close, detailed inspection, especially under load. Since this affects your ability to control the vehicle, I'd recommend having another shop inspect the steering system carefully, particularly for worn or loose components. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
