What is sticky substance appearing front passenger side where airbag is located?

Sticky substance has appeared on passenger side where airbag is located. 2010 Expedition nothing wasted. It is sticky and turning black at the base before you get to the glove box. No other part of the dash has this. It is not running liquid, it is as if it is coming from the inside out.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Nothing I have used will remove the sticky substance.
