4x4 light wont come on and wont go into 4x4

What is your question?

I heard a ticking noise like a clock for about 30 seconds coming from the dash, then when I went to put it into 4x4 it wouldnt light up and wouldnt go into 4, is this in the switch?

I guess to answer my own question, I took to the Ford garage, fearing hundreds of dollars in repair, but it was working fine. Apparently the long highway drive we took the night before caused moisture to get in and it froze up, then thawed out itself 2 days later. Just thought this might be good to know for somebody else
