I Apply my breaks it slows down but the pedal continues to slowly press to the floor

A brake pedal that travels to the floor is a dangerous situation. It is evidence of either an external brake fluid leak somewhere on the vehicle, or also perhaps within the master cylinder itself, which is kind of the "heart" of the braking system. Please do not drive the car further without having it checked. Visually check the fluid level to see if it is low first. You could also have air in the lines if recent brake repairs have been performed, but since you did not mention any, I am not sure.
