There's no air flow from the front vents except on the vent settings. There's no heat at all. Would the air flow through the back vents if the blower motor wasn't working properly.
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 1999 Ford Expedition. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
Yes, as there is a different blower motor in the rear.
Consider a possible blower speed controller in the front, if you have automatic temperature control (digital temp selector).
finally figured out what was wrong with the EACT. It was the rotary dial on the climate control unit itself. Of course you have to replace the entire console. Brand new from Ford cost $700+. found a used one at a salvage yard for $125. working perfect now. It was a nightmare. should have gotten a diagnostic check on it to start with, it would have saved me some money and a cold winter. I replaced a couple of things that I didn't need too trying to trouble shoot. I bought and paid for every bit of this lesson.
Will just bite the bullet next time and get a diagnostic next time
Thanks for the feedback! Sorry it took until April. I wish more folks would read your comments - a diagnosis has a bad rap because you pay labor to someone to spend time on your car...but in the end, the real deal is that you pay for skill and knowledge and technique. Good call. Glad you're all fixed now.
