Is my 97 Expedition Haunted?

What is your question?

Every afternoon, and occasionally throughout the day the break lights come on and off. Sometimes they stay on for a few seconds, maybe a minute then go off. I disconnected the break switch plug on the top of the pedal. The lights still come on and off. This occurs when the vehicle is not running, days even months at a time.

This is Kevin with NWA Auto Shop. Without seeing the vehicle, I can only theorize. Based on the limited information given, these are my thoughts. A) There is a ground in the circuit somewhere. Possibly trailer wiring that has been compromised. There is no way to guide you on an electrical problem without knowing what you have traced and confirmed in regards to source (power) and ground.
