Hello, no matter where you acquire a transmission from, ensure you are backed by some kind of warranty. Preferably parts AND labor. You can get good used units with a guarantee, and various rebuilt units are rebuilt to certain levels with certain skills doing the work and certain grade of quality of parts used for the rebuilds. So, in the face of the unknown, ensure you are acquiring a transmission that has a reasonable warranty along with it. Also, it's critical that you flush or replace the oil to air transmission fluid cooler, or you could cause quick failure of your new unit.
